The Challenge
The owners had purchased a franchise through funds from their existing retirement accounts. Both were first-time business owners and needed more support than the franchisor could provide at the time. After one year into the business, they had drawn only one paycheck and needed to aggressively focus on growth and creating better systems and processes to respond to the ever-increasing demands of the business.
Having exhausted support from the franchise as well as tried working with an Action Coach, they had not received the custom-tailored help they needed.
The owners knew they needed to develop skills in:
Client acquisition and successful nurturing of prospects
Tracking metrics to make better decisions
Creating and using repeatable processes
Be laser sharp with what they were spending time on.
...and more!
The Solution
The owners found Denver Business Coach and enrolled in 1:1 coaching in September of 2017.
They began by implementing a more defined marketing and sales approach including further defining their ideal clients, creating a high touch nurturing process and establishing high volume strategic referral relationships. The result was a significantly improved sales conversion rate and higher revenue per transaction.
By creating a “default calendar”, making time for their most important activities, their productivity and the business’ capacity increased significantly allowing them to serve more clients while creating a second to none client experience.

From startup to exit: The owners navigated stages of business and are now enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Who knows, maybe the entrepreneurial bug will catch them one more time. Denver Business Coach will be honored to support them once again.

The Result
With this foundation in place, the owners created a very profitable asset. Despite, for the industry, a very difficult-to-navigate landscape of the pandemic they were able to create well above-average growth.
Ultimately, their success, dialed-in systems and processes, and high profitability allowed them to attract qualified buyers. For an owner-operator business.
In November of 2022 they sold their business for $600,000 despite being an owner/operator business with no employees.
